The time has come to welcome the association’s newest James Hubbard Intern for Policy and Communications. Help us welcome Joshua Knoll!
Joshua will be assisting NASF staff in their work to inform forest policy and disseminate high-quality communications. He is looking forward to meeting and interacting with policy makers, industry specialists, and other professionals in the forestry and conservation arenas. He’s also hoping to learn more about how national forestry policy is strengthened by communications and interpreted at the national and sub-national levels.
Joshua graduated from Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics with a minor in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. As a member of the Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment program, he honed his interest in ecological issues throughout his undergraduate tenure.
After his graduation, Joshua spent several months in Zhejiang, China, shadowing researchers studying forest conservation and policy. Prior to that position, he interned at the USDA Forest Service’s National Partnership Office. You can reach Joshua by email at intern@stateforesters.org.
