Arbor Day Foundation seeks tree planting project proposals

Guest post by Brad Brandt

Since 1990, the Arbor Day Foundation has worked with tree planting organizations to identify and support reforestation projects throughout the United States and its territories.  Through our partnerships and with support from Arbor Day Foundation members, advocates and corporate partners, we can provide funding for seedlings on large-scale restoration projects.  Over the last 30 years, we have worked together to help fund and plant nearly 150 million trees.

We are currently seeking proposals for 2021/2022 large-scale plantings that will positively impact the environment, create habitat for wildlife, promote watershed restoration, and other benefits to the public.  We are looking for proposals with strong content that will enable the Foundation to share a great story with our members and donors.  While the Arbor Day Foundation will consider all proposals, support of projects will be dependent on the availability of resources. We are eager to hear about what is happening in your area.

We encourage you to forward this call for proposals to anyone in your network who is coordinating reforestation efforts.  Interested individuals are encouraged to submit an online proposal by end of day September 24th, 2021.

If you have submitted a proposal in the past, you will notice we are using a new proposal platform.  While our platform has changed, the process remains the same as prior years.  Please contact our team members Brad Brandt (bbrandt@arborday.org) and Jennifer Moon (jmoon@arborday.org) with any questions, or consult our FAQ.
