New Documentary about Carl Schenck and the Asheville Experiment

The Forest History Society’s new film, America's First Forest: Carl Schenck and the Asheville Experiment, will be airing during April on public television stations around the country in conjunction with Earth Day. 

The 1-hour film examines the work of forester Carl Schenck and the important role he played in revitalizing the forest landscape around the Biltmore Estate while laying the foundation for forest conservation in the United States.
