Two Chiefs’ Partnership Award nominations due June 15

The USDA Forest Service and the Natural Resources Conservation Service are seeking nominations for the 2015 Two Chiefs' Partnership Award. Nominations are due by June 15, 2015.

The awards recognize successful forestry conservation efforts made possible through partnerships among the Forest Service, NRCS, State Forestry agencies and conservation districts.  The 2015 Two Chiefs'  Partnership Award cerificates will be given in two categories, individual and group, and will be presented to the recipients by Forest Service and NRCS leaders at an appropriate future venue or by mail.

These awards are designed to highlight and acknowledge existing partnerships and projects located throughout the United States. The winners engaged in creative and diverse landscape scale partnerships.

Nominees for the 2015 Two Chiefs'  Partnership Award must have worked jointly for a minimum of two years to achieve gains in forestry-related  conservation with at least two of the following agencies: conservation districts, Forest Service, NRCS, or State forestry agencies. Nominations are evaluated based upon collaboration duration, outcomes and achievements, use of a new approach or technology, impact on a sizeable stakeholder group, and conservation gains across multiple resources.
