NASF thanks Senate Ag. Committee for work on 2013 Farm Bill

NASF sent Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Stabenow and Ranking Member Cochran a letter this week thanking them for their commitment to forestry and conservation issues in Senate version of the 2012 Farm Bill (S 954). The letter highlighted the important role of State Foresters in delivering programs that benefit more than two-thirds of America’s forests and will inform conferees as they reconcile differences between the House Farm Bill (HR 2642) and S 954 before the current Farm Bill expires at the end of September.

A comparison of S 954, the NASF Farm Bill Platform, and HR 2642 can be found in the Farm Bill Crosswalk.
