NASF and the American Forest Foundation were honored by the USDA Forest Service last week during a special event in Washington, DC, for their "service to the forestry community in raising awareness of the value of forests" during the International Year of Forests. NASF Past President and Maryland State Forester Steve Koehn accepted on behalf of NASF. USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack was on hand to congratulate the honorees and announce the release of the Forest Service’s new Watershed Condition Classification Map.
