NASF joined with the American Forest Foundation to conduct two briefings for staff and members of the Senate and House Agriculture Committees on Farm Bill progress in supporting forest conservation. Michigan State Forester Cara Boucher presented along with Jay Jensen, USDA Undersecretary for Natural Resources and Environment; Dr. Rob Parkes, vice-chair, Arkansas Forestry Commission; Lisa Parkes, Arkansas Tree Farmer; and Chuck Leavell, AFF Board member, Georgia Tree Farmer and member of the Rolling Stones.
