Joe Fox appointed Arkansas State Forester

Governor Mike Beebe has accepted the nomination of Joe Fox as the new Arkansas State Forester. Fox has been director of conservation forestry for the Arkansas field office of The Nature Conservancy and was recommended by the Arkansas Forestry Commission last week.

Forrest Boe named MN state forester

The commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has selected of Forrest Boe as director of the DNR's Forestry Division. Most recently he served as the deputy director of the Parks and Trails Division. Boe succeeds Dave Epperly, who held the post since 2005.
