Centennial Challenge

In 2020, the NASF Centennial Challenge will celebrate 100 years of national forestry leadership and honor the tremendous social, environmental, and economic contributions state forestry agencies have made nationwide.

Planning considerations for states

At the NASF 2018 Annual Meeting in Whitefish, Montana, state foresters agreed to appoint a person in their state by May 1, 2019 to plan, complete, and document a “100”-themed forestry event/program/initiative (referred to as a “challenge”) commemorating 100 years of state forestry during fiscal year (FY) 2020. Centennial Challenges may vary dramatically in scale and scope from state to state.
