NASF Foundation spotlights 2013 Photography Fellow at meeting

During the 2013 NASF Annual Meeting this week in Hot Springs, Virginia, the NASF Foundation showcased the work done by the 2013 Photography Fellow. The photography fellow, Joel Prince, was sponsored by the Foundation to travel to five states (Virginia, South Carolina, Kansas, Oregon and Maine) to capture images that embody this year's theme "Embrace the Possibilities."

The photos were taken over a two-month period and captured such diverse subjects as storm recovery, forest markets, urban and community forests and the traditions of the timber industry. The photos will be used by NASF and state foresters during the year to promote forestry messages and education.

The photography fellowship is offered annually by the Foundation and allows aspiring photographers to travel across the U.S. and document the importance of forestry.
