Montana – Forestry Division Administrator

We are looking for a Forestry Division Administrator (State Forester) with experience in organizational management, natural resource, and forestry and fire policy.  This position is the primary leader who represents the interests of Montana’s citizens on forestry and wildfire issues regardless of jurisdiction and who serves as the principal convenor amongst wildfire and forestry organizations to protect communities from wildfire, prepare communities for wildfire events, improve forest health, and reduce wildfire risk. This position aligns Division programs and operations to achieve statutorily obligated responsibilities and to achieve mutual objectives both internally and externally with wildfire protection and forestry partners.
