NASF 2026 Annual Meeting
"Bridging the Divide: Conservation in Action"
Pictured: Lexington, Kentucky
The National Association of State Foresters’ (NASF) 2026 Annual Meeting will convene the nation’s State Foresters with valued partners from September 21-24, 2026 in Lexington, Kentucky. Attracting more than 200 forestry and wildland fire leaders, this meeting offers extraordinary networking opportunities with key decision-makers. Sponsors and exhibitors are essential partners, stepping outside their standard roles of supplying quality products and expert services to state forestry agencies to help NASF provide an exceptional conference.
In Kentucky, the cultural connection to trees and forestry runs deep. Trees become barrels for the state’s revered bourbon industry, barns that house prize-winning racehorses, and baseball bats for America’s favorite pastime. Despite forestry’s integral role in the state, Kentucky forest managers face many of the same challenges as anywhere else in the country: destructive pests, struggling markets, increased wildfire, and more.
This year’s theme of “Bridging the Divide” will focus on solutions that unite us in our shared efforts to improve outcomes for forests and communities nationwide. Effective forest conservation requires collective efforts that bridge divides. Divides may materialize as limitations or differences, and come in many forms – geographic, bureaucratic, economic, societal, political. Breakout meetings will feature partnerships and inform dialogue with national leaders in a combined general session.

At no time was that more evident than during the global pandemic and in the wake natural disasters that devastated the western and eastern regions of the commonwealth. But Gov. Beshear's faith and values are also the North Star that provides guidance in all aspects of his job, and that means doing what's right, every time, to better the lives of all Kentuckians.
