Smokey Bear
NASF works with the USDA
Forest Service and the Ad Council to support the message
of Smokey Bear, the
national symbol for fire safety. Smokey is one
of the best known symbols in America,
and our fifty-plus years of work has lead to one of the most successful public service
campaigns in history. Knowledge about the dangers of catastrophic wildfire is
increasingly important as more and more people take to the woods both for recreation and
for permanent living. Click on Smokey's picture to visit the
official Smokey Bear website.
NASF continues to offer educational materials and products with Smokey
Bear at our field office in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Government
agencies, fire departments, and teachers can all order from us.
