The National Association of State Foresters, representing the directors of state and territorial forestry agencies and the District of Columbia, endorses the goal of conserving indigenous plant and animal species, enhancing recovery of listed species, increasing the participation of non-federal parties in species-recovery, and minimizing the economic and regulatory burdens and costs upon individual members of society.
