ISSUE OF CONCERN:
Retiring out-of-date resolutions
BACKGROUND:
The NASF Forest Fire Protection Committee has reviewed all resolutions from the years 2000 and 2001 that fall under the jurisdiction of the Committee. The Committee has reviewed each of the following resolutions and found them to be out-of-date or no longer relevant and recommends they be retired. The Committee will reconsider three of the resolutions below (2000-7, 2000-8, and 2000-13) for possible renewal during 2007.
- 2000 - 2000-1 Use and Allocation of Potential Increases in the State Fire Assistance Budget
- 2000 - 2000-6 Implementing the Recommendations of the study "Cost Containment on Large Fires: Efficient Utilization of Wildland Fire Suppression Resources"
- 2000 - 2000-7 Forest Service Cohesive Strategy for Reducing Wildland Fire Hazards
- 2000 - 2000-8 Fire use and education in the wildland-urban interface
- 2000 - 2000-13 National Guard preparedness for Wildfire Suppression Deployment
- 2000 - 2000-14 Wildland Fire Preparedness and Response
- 2000 - 2000-18 Support for Hazard Support System
- 2001 - 2001-7 Coordination of Assistance to Rural Fire Districts
RESOLUTION:
The NASF membership agrees to retire the resolutions as identified above.
