NASF Resolution No. 2009-4: Retiring Out-of-Date Urban and Community Forestry Resolutions

ISSUE OF CONCERN: Retiring out-of-date resolutions.
BACKGROUND:
The NASF Urban and Community Forestry Committee has reviewed the following resolutions and found them to be out-of-date or no longer relevant.
• 1996 Resolution 1996-2 (Relating to 2002 Olympic Games and a National Initiative for Urban and Community Forestry).
• 1997 Resolution 1997-5 (Relating to Inventory and Assessment of Urban and Community Forests Throughout the United States).
• 2000 Resolution 2000-10 (Relating to Backyard Woods Initiative).
• 2004 Resolution 2004-4 (Relating to Inventory and Assessment of the Nation's Urban Forest Resource).
The Urban and Community Forestry Committee recommends to the membership that these resolutions be retired.
RESOLUTION:
THEREFORE BE ITRESOLVED that National Association of State Foresters agrees to retire the resolutions as identified above.
