Wildfire season in the West in full swing
With evacuations, road closures and the deployment of National Guard and Air Force Reservist crews, the American West wildfire season is off to a blazing start. Both Colorado and Arizona have ordered evacuations due to wildfires threatening homes. In Utah, fire crews continue to put out a wildfire that has burned about 500 acres and closed a major state highway. Due to high winds and unusually dry conditions, fire crews in many states have found it difficult to contain the wildfires.
