Tenth webinar in Planning for Growth and Open Space Conservation series announced
The Forest Service has announced the topic of its next webinar in the Planning for Growth and Open Space Conservation series - Session #10: Conservation Planning Tools for Land Use Planners and Natural Resource Professionals.
An ever growing body of planning tools is being developed to address current and future conservation concerns. But how can land use planners expect to stay up-to-date on this dynamic and ever changing field? The program will present findings from several recent surveys on the use of conservation planning tools by local and regional land use planners, as well as guidelines and incentives for conservation design in local development regulations.
Scheduled speakers to include:
- Sarah Reed, Colorado State University and Wildlife Conservation Society
- Ryan Scherzinger, American Planning Association
- Don Lipscomb, Clemson University
