Colorado wildfires force evacuation of more than 11,000 people
Colorado has been experiencing a hectic fire season this year. Firefighters are working no less than eight large wildfires statewide. The largest near Pikes Peak forced the evacuation of more than 11,000 people on Sunday. Crews have struggled to contain the blazes around the state amid 100-degree temperatures and strong winds. More than 400 emergency workers were trying to contain the blaze, officials said. As of Sunday afternoon, no structures had been damaged.
