Arkansas takes proactive measure to detect wildfires
The Arkansas Forestry Commission is sending airplanes out to scan rural areas that may be subject to fires. The scans come a few months earlier than normal because of drought conditions in several counties. This method of scanning for wildfires helps the Forestry Commission cover a more extensive area in a shorter time. They plan to continue the scans by air until they get a substantial rainfall.
