Wisconsin DNR seeks Foresters
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources - Division of Forestry is seeking up to ten (10) Foresters of all skill and experience levels at various statewide locations.
These forester positions reflect different combinations of duties that are based on forest type and fire risk landscapes. Duties encompass the following four integrated program areas: state lands management, private lands management, county forests management, and fire management. Foresters provide a wide range of services that include; developing, administering, and evaluating forest management programs for county, state, and private forestlands; establishing and administering timber sales on department-managed forestlands; administering forest tax law programs; performing fire preparedness, suppression, prevention, and training. As a matter of routine, foresters work cooperatively with other department programs, co-operating foresters, state, county, and federal agencies.
