Washington State DNR seeks Deputy Supervisor for State Uplands
The Deputy Supervisor for State Uplands is responsible for Department of Natural Resources (DNR) programs that pertain to DNR-managed uplands and assets, and DNR facilities. These include DNR’s asset planning, agriculture, forest products, silviculture, forest roads, land survey, land transactions, natural areas/natural heritage, recreation, and law enforcement programs as well as DNR’s fleet and facilities operations. Most of these programs have both division (headquarters) and region office components. Divisions generally are responsible for providing program direction, coordinating budgets and activities, and carrying out operational audits. Regions generally are responsible for day-to-day program implementation. Thus, strong working relationships between divisions and regions are essential. This is a permanent, exempt position that reports to the DNR Supervisor, and serves at the pleasure of the Commissioner of Public Lands.
