Staff Forester (Urban Forestry), Texas A&M Forest Service (Austin, TX)

Primary duties include assisting communities with the development of professionally-based inventories, resource assessments and/or management plans; the establishment and training of professional staff; tree ordinance development and review; and support for local and regional advocacy/advisory organizations;  technical and educational assistance to local governments and non-profits on tree planting, protection and care; assisting local cooperators with volunteer recruitment and training; promoting urban forestry on the local level through various presentations, media releases, demonstrations, exhibits and publications; responding to requests for information from the general public.
