Plum Creek Timber seeks silviculturists in Maine and Michigan
Plum Creek's Forest Productivity Group has an opening for a Region Silviculturist to support the Lake States and Northeast regions. It will be located in either Escanaba, Michigan, or Fairfield, Maine. The Forest Productivity Group provides technical expertise in silviculture recommendations, forest growth expectations, and all aspects of forestry research. This is a technical support team that includes silviculturists, geneticists, nursery managers and seed orchard managers. As operational researchers, we work closely with Forestry and other business groups to ensure that Plum Creek’s silviculture investments are prioritized by financial returns, environmental compliance, and forest productivity goals. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the silviculture investment and forest management research. Success in this role is dependent on your ability to quickly establish yourself as a consultant and subject matter expert to all levels in the organization and exercise your interpersonal and communications skills.
