Idaho Dept of Lands seeking a Lands Area Manager

Idaho Department of Lands has an exciting opportunity for a Lands Area Manager experienced in natural resources in St. Maries.This is a senior management position with responsibility for all Lands Management and Regulatory activities on the St. Joe Supervisory Area. Responsibilities include: managing staff activities involved in land and timber appraisal and sales, forest practices, fire management, and range and mineral management; evaluating program effectiveness and compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; developing and managaing area budgets; maintaining public relations with a variety of special interest groups and the general public; conducting field inspections of forestry, fire, range, minerals, hazard management and erosion control activities; developing fire control, road use and stream alteration cooperative agreements; coordinating emergency fire-suppression activities.
