Boggus hired as director of Texas Forest Service

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents announced Boggus was the sole finalist for the directorship late last month. The panel unanimously approved his hiring last week after waiting a state-mandated 21 days.

Boggus named sole finalist for Texas Forest Service director and state forester
Posted on Friday, January 22, 2010Tom G. Boggus has been named sole finalist for director and state forester of Texas Forest Service. Boggus has served as the agency's interim director since June 2008. The designation was approved today by the Texas A&M System Board of Regents. State law requires regents to now wait 21 days before formally offering the job to Boggus.
