Congressmen form bipartisan Healthy Forests Caucus

U.S. Representatives Kurt Schrader (D-OR) and Greg Walden (R-OR) have formed the "Congressional Healthy Forests Caucus," a bipartisan group designed to promote forest-friendly policies and the role of the nation's forests in economic recovery and environmental sustainability.

"Too often [the] potential benefits [of forests] are overlooked when drafting forest policy; our caucus aims to educate our Congressional colleagues on the economic and environmental benefits of smart forest policy," said Schrader.
