Climate hearing addresses benefits of cap and trade to farmers and foresters

In a hearing before the Senate Agriculture Committee this week, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and other Obama administration officials argued that the economic opportunities of cap and trade for farmers and foresters could outpace the costs. Among the witnesses was Jo Pierce, a family tree farmer representing the Forest Climate Working Group.
