Ala. state forester appointed to Forest Resource Coordinating Committee

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has appointed eight members to the Forest Resource Coordinating Committee, including Linda Casey, Alabama State Forester, chair of the Southern Group of State Foresters and a member of the NASF Executive Committee. The FRCC provides advice on private forestry and USDA's programs that assist landowners in managing their forests. USDA is also soliciting nominations through March 2 for an additional eight committee members, including seats for two more state foresters.
