6,500 trees will help offset environmental impact of Super Bowl XLV
The Super Grow XLV program will plant more than 6,500 trees in local Texas cities before game day in an attempt to minimize the Super Bowl's impact on the local environment. To participate, each city must donate $3,000 in cash or in-kind donations of labor and resources, and the trees must be planted on public land.
